I work bloody hard!

On June 1st, after a month of preparations, the Heads of Xmedia (a group of representatives from Exeposé, Xpression FM and XTV) successfully delivered an enjoyable night of entertainment for over 130 of our members.
I took a key organisational role in these preparations: liaising with Reed Hall, setting up Excel spreadsheets of all our guests’ food requirements, and organising entertainment on our limited budget. I also created a Snapchat filter which lasted the duration of the night, which was viewed by 5216 people:
On the night itself, I also presented awards to some of our hard-working committee members, and it was an absolute pleasure to show our appreciation for a year of hard work.
Thanks, Exeposé (and Xmedia) – it’s been a blast!
This weekend saw the Student Publication Association National Conference and Awards – #SPANC17 – and it was great fun to meet some other creative types (and I managed to nab millions of publications from various universities, which will make for some inspirational reading)…
I was very proud to have been nominated for Best Interview for my Josh Widdicombe piece, and even happier to be awarded Highly Commended for Best Design! Obviously Ben and I have had a lot of fun redesigning the paper this year, and it’s an extra pleasure to be recognised for our work.
My final piece for Exeposé (at least, for now…)

This is it – the final issue!
Normally, I’d get quite sentimental here, but most of my thoughts are handily summed up in the editorial (which I wrote this week)….
As I say, I’m pretty knackered, and glad to finally be focusing on my dissertation, but I’ll miss it too… Fingers crossed I find another creative outlet soon!
I thought it would be fun to do an International Issue, celebrating students and voices from all over the world, so we did exactly that for Issue 14 – in particular, there’s some great travel stuff in Lifestyle, and a brilliant collaborative piece about translated books in Arts & Lit…
Issue 665. The biggest? The best? Either way, it’s definitely the sexiest… Because this is Sexeposé, our Valentine’s special / sex and relationships issue!
(feat. a diagram I rustled up for Science)
But wait, there’s more! This was also our Sabb election special, which meant an 8-page pullout, featuring introductions to a whopping 28 people… all masterminded by yours truly! I’m pretty proud of the design, too:
So that’s that! Definitely one of our best issues, and probably the one we’ll be sending off for awards in a couple of months. Well done, team!
